Clairefontaine paper is known as the best paper in the world for writing. The paper is extremely high quality, thick, and satiny-smooth. The paper can handle anything from permanent markers to a bold nib fountain pen without bleed through or feathering. The paper is very fountain pen friendly - your pen nib will glide over the paper.
French ruled (Séyès) paper is the standard lined paper used in France - especially by students. French ruled paper consists of an 8 mm x 8 mm grid, with lighter or thinner horizontal lines spaced 2 mm apart inside the main grid. There is a left margin, as well as some space without the horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the page.
This paper is useful for learning cursive, and is an excellent tool for anyone to improve their handwriting or practice calligraphy. Also very useful for making charts and graphs, taking notes, and drawing. if you haven't tried French ruled paper before, we think you might enjoy it!
