iPenstore Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen

The Vanishing Point fountain pen by Pilot was first crafted in 1963 and was the first retractable fountain pen on the market. The Pilot (Namiki) vanishing point Galaxy fountain pen features a beautiful Japanese raden finish - crafted from hundreds of tiny multi-colored abalone shell fragments in a rich, black, hand-lacquered finish. The surface displays the beauty of multi-colored abalone shells in a three dimensional effect.

The precise engineering of the barrel and internal mechanisms allow the rhodium-plated 18k gold nib to disappear completely when not in use, creating a truly retractable fountain pen.  Push the top button to expose or retract the nib.  A cleverly designed hood covers the nib as it retracts, preventing drying or leaking. Nibs are available in fine, medium or broad. The nibs are interchangeable - order an extra nib assembly to easily switch ink colors while writing.
